Post-holiday Syndrome Among Students
There are an increasing number of investigations which demonstrate that a great many students seems to get involved in post-holiday syndrome after several days off especially when it is a long-time holiday. Its manifestation includes being impatient, feeling apprehensive about the following school days and so on. This phenomenon is contributed by various reasons and most of has drawn public attention. Two of the main causes will be listed as follow.
Firstly, quite a lot of students are prone to stay up during holidays, or have some other unhealthy lifestyles like that, which could destroy their immune system and make them less physically suitable for the regular and intensive school life. Some could even get some typical illness caused by anxiety such as stomachache and headache.
Secondly, it is easier for students to get used to comfortable atmosphere created during holidays instead of concentrating on homework which leads to the fact that many students would put off their homework until the last minute of the holiday. As a consequence, there wouldn’t be a smooth transition from relaxation to study and students would feel the fall. Post-holiday syndrome can also be attributed to this negative feeling.
